Now that we have reached a successful ending in Boston after Friday's craziness, here's a couple of quick thoughts:

....the cops always win!  No matter if you are a stupid criminal or a rogue terrorist wreaking havoc on our everyday lives, the police are smarter and better equipped and trained, and they will hunt you down and win.  God bless the cops.

....funny how politicians fight their way into the camera angles so they can be seen.  They really don't deserve the credit but have no problem taking it when the cameras and lights are on.

....if I was in charge last night, I would have immediately said to the good people of Boston: "Thank you for your patience.  Thanks to all the law enforcement professionals who did their job and make a safe.  Please remember our victims of this senseless tragedy.  Now, please go out and celebrate that America and Boston has won a big battle against evil.  I am waiving the laws for one weekend so all Boston bars and restaurants can remain open as long at they want until Monday morning to revitalize our economy and celebrate America's victory.  God bless Boston and our troops!"  But, I'm just a dumb DJ and not a politician, so what do I know?

....I know there are people in Rochester who care!  Read below and go support tonight....

(Rochester, NY)… The Rochester Americans players’ wives and girlfriends will be running a special fundraising raffle to benefit the family of Nazareth Hockey Coach George Roll, whose wife has been diagnosed with a brain tumor, during the Amerks game versus the Hamilton Bulldogs on Saturday, April 20 at The Blue Cross Arena.  The efforts are being led by Amerks goaltender David Leggio, who played for Roll for four years at Clarkson University.

Among the items that will be raffled off during Saturday’s game are an autographed Sidney Crosby jersey, an autographed Brian Gionta hockey stick, an autographed David Leggio jersey, an RIT hockey jersey, a signed RIT hockey stick, an assortment of autographed Buffalo Sabres and Amerks memorabilia, as well as Nazareth Hockey apparel and jewelry from Lise’s Pieces.  Raffle tickets can be purchased for $10 apiece at a table on the main concourse prior to the game and during the first two periods. The raffle will end at the conclusion of the second intermission.  Selling the raffle tickets will be Amerks players’ wives and girlfriends and members of the Nazareth Hockey team.

There will also be several golf packages available in a silent auction.  Among the packages are the chance for you and a friend to play in a foursome at Country Club of Buffalo with PGA TOUR golfer Dudley Hart and Leggio; a chance for you and two friends to play at Oak Hill Country Club with member Jim Goff; and packages courtesy of members from Irondequoit Country Club and Ridgemont Country Club.  The auction for these items will close at the end of the second intermission.
