This is my beautiful cousin Kim - on her wedding day - with her husband Frank and brother Jason. Two weeks after this picture was taken in October of 2006, Kim was diagnosed with breast cancer. A year and a half later, on April 10th, 2008, Kim lost her battle with the disease, two months after her 30th birthday. I do everything I can to help spread breast cancer awareness, and to raise money for a cause that is so close to my heart. I don't want any other woman to go through what Kim went through, or any other family to have to deal with a loss as great as my family did.
That's why I participate in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. Every year since she died, and every year hoping to make a difference in a world filled with cancer. This year's walk is on October 20th, starting at Frontier Field. If you can join me, great. If not, donations would be appreciated. Please donate for my cousin. Or someone YOU know who has lost their battle, won their battle, or is currently still fighting the battle against breast cancer. And if you don't personally know anyone with breast cancer, donate for your daughter. Your sister. Your niece. Your mother. With the hope that they'll never have cancer, but IF they do some day, that - thanks to donations like yours - there might be a cure by then.
Thanks in advance for your support.
