GRAMMY Recap

GRAMMY Recap

I stayed up last night to watch the ALL of the GRAMMYs last night, and I'm feeling it today.  BUT, there were a lot of amazing performances.  In case you missed any of it last night, here's a recap of some of the best performances.

The show started off with a very sexy Beyonce, who was joined by her hubby Jay Z on stage for Drunk In Love.

John Legend blew a lot of people away with his performance of what I'm sure will be a HUGE wedding song this Summer, All of Me.

Taylor Swift surprised a lot people with her performance last night...she KILLED it when she played All Too Well.  Headbanging aside, I was very impressed with Taylor.

One of the best performances of the night was the Imagine Dragons/Kendrick Lamar mashup of Radioactive/m.A.A.d. City.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis stole the show when they performed Same Love, and 32 couples - same sex, different sex, interracial - got married (by Queen Latifah) on stage!  It was definitely the most beautiful part of the show...that is, until Madonna came on stage:

And now for my two favorite performances of the night.  One highly anticipated, another a complete surprise.  First, the one I looked forward to the most: Sara Bareilles performing a mashup of Beautiful/Brave with Carole King:

And then, The Highwaymen.  Or what's left of them, anyway.  I don't know if this performance was talked about a lot prior to the show, but I didn't know it was going to happen, and it blew me away.  Other than Sara, hands down my fave performance of the night.  Willie Nelson & Kris Kristofferson performed The Highway Men, and then were joined on stage by Merle Haggard & Blake Shelton.  I missed Johnny Cash & Waylson Jennings, though.

And finally, Nine Inch Nails closed the show with Queens of the Stone Age, Dave Grohl & Lindsey Buckingham, with Copy of A and My God Is The Sun.
