Vampire Weekend is on its way back to the top of the Billboard 200. Industry forecasters say the indie rockers' third album, Modern Vampires of the City, is on track to sell about 120,000 copies before the current tracking week comes to a close on Sunday.
That should be enough to put the disc at number one when the new chart is unveiled on Wednesday, May 22nd. This would be Vampire Weekend's second chart-topper after their second album, 2010's Contra, bowed at number one with 124,000 copies sold.
Meanwhile, other rockers looking to have big debuts on next week's Billboard 200 include Escape the Fate with Ungrateful and Dillinger Escape Plan with One of Us Is the Killer.
