A taxi driver is recovering after being shot after refusing a fare Thursday, police said. The driver said that he was shot by the would-be passenger around 1:30 a.m. on North Plymouth Avenue.
The driver told police that he asked the suspect to leave after he noticed the man was carrying a gun. Police said that the suspect fired a round at the vehicle hitting the driver.
The driver's injuries are not considered life threatening. There are no suspects in custody.
