Fairport, N.Y. - Congresswoman Louise Slaughter will be in Perinton today to repeat her call for more taxpayer funds to rebuild the nation's infrastructure.

She'll make an example today of the Marsh Road bridge over the Erie Canal, where weight limits are too low for Bushnells Basin firefighting vehicles.

Pending legislation would add $19.5 billion to the Highway Maintenance Trust Fund by prohibiting corporate inversions - a practice by which U.S. companies relocate their headquarters abroad to avoid paying US taxes.
