Rochester N.Y.-An Ogden man who went on a crime spree back in January that ended with him being shot by a Monroe County Sheriff's deputy entered guilty pleas in court today.

22 year old Vincenzo Zagari pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted robbery and one count of menacing a police officer.

Zagari stole a car in Ogden and went on to shoplift at the Pittsford Wegmans. When he attempted to take another car in the stores parking lot, he was chased down by deputies.

He then lunged at Deputy Bridget Davis with a hammer who shot Zagari several times .

Investigators say Zagari also tried to rob a bank in Spencerport a day earlier.

He faces up to 12 years in prison when he is sentenced.
