Rocehster N.Y.-After six months of negotiations, today the union representing about 900 truck drivers and warehouse workers at Wegmans will vote on the company's contract offer.
Last week, Wegmans announced that it had made what it called its "last, best and final offer' to Teamsters Local 118.
Under this proposal, Wegmans says the teamsters' members would get an immediate $1,000 lump sum payment and an 18 percent pay hike over the life of the six year contract. They also say they are offering what they call a genorous package of options concernig workers retirement.
A union official disputes that saying the contract offer would eliminate the pensions of hundreds of Rochester area employees.
Meanwhile, at Sunday's Buffalo Bills game, a plane flew overhead pulling a sign that read "Wegmans Wants Buffalo To Lose".
Wegmans later issued a statement saying that they beleived that the union was behind that move
