State will help Camp Good Days

Posted May 15th, 2014 @ 3:23pm by Bud Lowell

The state will pay to help Camp Good Days and Special Times in Branchport recover from this week's flash flood.

Lt. Governor Bob Duffy says the state will assist in covering the $60,000 estimated cost of getting the camp for kids with cancer open again. The sudden flood left cabins full of mud, swept away trees, fences and outbuildings and also some of the camp's beach. It had to cancel events for this weekend.

Camp Good Days hopes to be open in two weeks for the next group of campers.
