Rochester, NY -- A man accused of two rapes five days apart last summer has pleaded guilty to rape, predatory sexual assault -- and a charge he plotted in jail to have one of the women killed to ensure she would not testify against him.

Marvin Sevilla-Rosales became known as the East Avenue Rapist for the attack last June on a young woman in the front yard of an apartment building on East Avenue. The second attack happened an apartment on Alexander Street. Neither victim knew their attacker.

DNA testing performed on evidence from the two rapes confirmed a witness identification of Sevilla-Rosales. He will be sentenced to 25 years to life in prison on May 28.
