Rochester Man Accused Of Attempting To Set Fire

(13WHAM)Rochester, N.Y. - A Rochester man is in the Monroe County Jail after breaking into a home and pouring lighter fluid around the house early Wednesday morning.

Robin L. Buckman, 44, was arrested after he reportedly broke into a home on Otis St. while the occupants were sleeping just before 3:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said Buckman poured a large amount of lighter fluid inside and outside the house during a domestic dispute.

Police arrived quickly and took Buckman into custody - charging him with felony second-degree burglary, endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree reckless endangerment and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

The Rochester Fire Department removed items that were saturated with the ignitable liquid to prevent a fire.

Buckman is scheduled to appear in City Court on Thursday at 9:30 a.m.
