Steady heavy snow at times through the remainder of the afternoon. Expect 8-14" by the end of the day. Significant blowing and drifting snow with white out conditions at times. Temperatures falling through the 20s.

Tonight:
Steady, heavy snow continues through the evening. Another 4-8" is expected, bringing storm totals between 12-24" by early tomorrow morning.  Blowing and drifting snow continues.  Sub-zero wind chills.

Wind: NE 20-40 mph decreasing to 10-25 mph overnight.

 

Additional:

Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks has issued a “State of Emergency”  effective at noon Wednesday.

All county facilities will be closed by 11 a.m.

County’s Emergency Operations Center will be partially activated at noon.

Travel Restrictions will be put in place effective 1 p.m.
