A Western New York Assemblyman says he's been told the federal government won't use the former WalMart store in Brockport to house illegal immigrant children.@
Assemblyman Steve Hawley of Batavia says he has that word direct from the Department of Health and Human Services, which called to tell him the government has taken that site off its list.
Hawley says it's the right call. He says Brockport residents shouldn't be paying for housing, care and education of illegal immigrant children.
