Buffalo, N.Y. – The Buffalo Bills announced Monday that their General Manager Buddy Nix would be stepping down.

Nix served as the Bills GM for three years. He will be staying on as a special assistant to the new GM. He worked previously as a scout for the team.

Nix said at a press conference today: "I always felt like I would know when it was the right time, and this is the right time."

The Bills did not name a new General Manager at the press conference today. President Russ Brandon said a plan is in place for a new GM: "We have a plan and we will execute that plan. Today is about Buddy."
